Confirm with the museumFind the fortress, not the other museum address
Use Nehajski put 3, Senj, for the fortress location. Senj Town Museum also has a separate town-centre site at Milana Ogrizovića 5; the two should not be confused when planning directions.
Open the map before setting out and choose the approach that suits your mobility and the conditions. The route from the old town involves an uphill approach. We do not promise a fixed walking time or parking availability.
Tickets: check with the operator
For current admission charges, reductions and any combined-ticket options, consult the museum’s price list or contact its team. Prices are deliberately not copied here without a current ticketing feed.
This website is an independent editorial guide. It is not a museum booking desk, and a link to Senj.travel does not purchase entry to the fortress.
Give the visit room to breathe
Allow roughly 60–90 minutes for the fortress and immediate surroundings as a planning suggestion, then add the time you need for the approach and the rest of Senj.
Comfortable footwear, water and sun protection are sensible additions in warm weather. The hill and upper lookout are exposed; follow local instructions and adjust plans when conditions are unsuitable.
Accessibility and family visits
Contact the museum before travelling about step-free access, assistance, toilets and any other specific needs. We have not independently audited accessibility and do not describe the building as fully accessible.
For a family visit, make the building itself the activity: look for coats of arms and compare large and small openings. Keep children close and respect barriers, exhibition rules and restricted areas.
Groups and guided visits
The museum asks guided groups of more than 15 visitors to book at least three days before their intended visit. Contact the museum directly to agree a time and confirm arrangements.
Special visits outside published hours depend on the museum’s organisational and technical capacity. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking.
